Louis, the son of a Midland College welding teacher & Airforce veteran (who welded on airplanes in Vietnam) spent his early years in his father’s classes/shop welding and learning, which he largely attributes to his career choice. He has an Associate of Applied Science from Midland College and a Bachelor’s of Science, Mechanical Engineering, from Texas Tech. Before his 6- year tenure at Smith Industries Louis worked for a small fabrication shop as well as building homes. He enjoys time with family, traveling and is an avid outdoorsman (backpacking, hiking, fishing, camping, and hunting).
